Types of deck railings

There are a few different types of deck railings you can choose from to finish your railing project.

Another type of railing is the column rail. Column rails are similar to baluster rails in that they have a series of ornamental brackets, but the brackets are located at intervals along the railing instead of being evenly spaced. This makes column rails more versatile and durable than baluster rails. 

You may also want to consider a rail with a trellis design. Trellis designs feature intricate wire meshwork that looks great and is resistant to UV damage. Railings with trellis designs can be used in both outdoor and indoor spaces.
