Many Laboratories are now offering covid tests at airports before you travel. Airport testing is offered to passengers and employees. The test is free for passengers arriving or employees during a certain period of time. Travelers who leave have to pay a fee. 

The COVID-19 Test Sites is located at the Bus Shuttle Center (walk-up, pre-security area adjacent to the terminal's core). Reservations can be made in advance on the internet. The walk-ins are accepted, subject to availability.

Both test locations at Chicago provide the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and quick antigen screening. A lot of international destinations need a positive PCR result. Please check with your airline and the city/country of your destination for specific specifications.

The requirements for employees and passengers

The new testing locations will be restricted to passengers and airport personnel to ensure security for the public traveling. Airport testing locations are reserved for:

Passengers who have a scheduled flight within the next 72 hours (connecting with or leaving)

Passengers who traveled in the past five or more days (connecting and/or arriving)

Employees who have valid badges or proof of employment at the airport

Test Costs and Costs of Test 

These tests are offered for a cost that is $130.00 USD  and $150.00 USD respectively. Advance payment via the credit card you use in order to reserve an appointment.

When you select this test, you're choosing an individual provider using an RT-PCR and rapid COVID-19 testing methodology to charge the cost of travel.
