Glass wool is formed by mixing of various ingredients such as fixing agents, borosilicate glass containing recycled glass, and silica sand. 1. An oven is required for the procedure where first thick layer of glass is curated at 2oo degrees. This is where the binding of the strands happens helping in later stages where the sheet becomes thinner.
2. After the first step, the second step is about melting procedure happening inside electrical furnace. Right after melting takes place at 100 degree Celsius, conditioning inside gas-fired furnace takes place. This step is important to carry out spinning of the fibers similar to the production of candy.
3. The binding of the agent blend with the glass wool due to the high-speed spinning to avoid formation of HCFCs and CFCs and instead form fibers.
4. The produced fibers will then be transferred again inside an oven for the curing process. The curing is to achieve the density and thickness with accurate levels.
